What’s the most important object in your studio?
Well I suppose they’re not really objects, but my lovely studio mates, plus heaps of natural light.
Paper or plastic?
Paper
If you could resurrect one no longer living person to have lunch with, knowing you will have to return them to the grave right after coffee, who would it be?
My Granny Anne who died 20 years ago. I’d love to ask her more about her interesting life.
Preferred method of dealing with an encounter with an acquaintance whose name you can’t remember.
Honestly. Its usually a little embarrassing all round but I just about always fess up. I’m just not very good at covering up!
Favourite client so far?
lots of favourites, I’ve pretty much enjoyed working for most clients so far and I like a good mixture of illustration jobs.
Favourite imaginary client?
Hmmm…a client/project which required me travel to lovely destinations to draw en situ sure would be super!
How does your mother describe your profession?
“She’s the creative one”
Coffee or tea?
Peppermint tea for me.
What’s your earliest drawing memory?
Version 1: aged 2.5, arranging the contents of my nappies neatly in my little red shoes. Version 2: aged 6, drawing an exploding volcano at school. Lots of purple and orange.
How do you prefer to spend your mornings?
Weekdays: Biking to the studio with my honey, via Bomb Cafe for tea and bad jokes.
Weekends: Having a lay-in, reading the paper, hanging out with our delicious nieces: Coco 7 & Babette 5.
