A bionic eye is something previously only encountered in the realm of science fiction, but for a new research partnership at the University of Melbourne the lofty dream of restorative vision may not be that far away! Reporting on this exciting development, the Alumni Magazine needed a science textbook-esque illustration to accompany their article. Ben Sanders interpreted the brief in his own unique way, incorporating both a science textbook, technical drawing aspect and also borrowing characteristics from retro sci-fi movies.
